Greenisland has has to work hard to shed itself of the small-minded interbreeding slack-jawed image it has had since the 2005 Spotlight programme on the epidemic of underage pregnancies, high levels of unemployment and an unbelievable crime rate. (lower greenisland)
What the 2005 programme also covered was the interbreeding going on in Greenisland behind closed doors; the fact that cousins and in 13 cases brothers and sisters were having sex astonished BBC viewers.
That was not all, the levels of violence and thievery prevented Council workers from collecting the rubbish and it piles higher every day creating a stench that can be smelt all along the Shore road.
